Our Strategic Partnerships

In Gloucestershire, we work within a three-tiered government structure, with the county council at the top, six district councils below it, and our local councils forming the third closest to our communities. Partnering with district and county councils ensures a mutual understanding of grassroots work and fosters effective communication across all levels of government.

We also collaborate with non-governmental organisations that provide vital services and support to our councils. Additionally, our corporate partners offer exceptional services to our members, often at discounted rates due to these partnerships.

Our role is to facilitate the flow of information, ensuring that the experiences and successes of our councils inform larger policy decisions. These partnerships help us start important conversations and highlight the crucial role local councils play in enhancing residents' lives.
