Understanding Assertion 10: Digital and Data Compliance for Councils
We recently attended a webinar unpacking the details of the new Assertion 10 which councils can expect to find on their 2026 AGAR. While GAPTC will provide further information and training on this new assertion, we wanted to flag some initial details and signpost some helpful resources.
What is Assertion 10?
Briefly, the new assertion covers three areas of IT, data protection and website compliance: Email, domains and IT; the Data Protection Act and UK GDPR compliance; website accessibility.
