Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM)
Dear Members,
The Executive Committee of the Gloucestershire Association of Parish & Town Councils (GAPTC) invites you to attend an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to be held on:
Thursday, 11 December 2025
6.00 pm. (via Zoom)
Purpose of the EGM
The EGM has been convened to:
Approve the financial Accounts and Annual Report for 2024/25
Agree the minutes of the AGM held on 24th July, 2025
Provide an update on progress towards the transition from GAPTC to the new Company Limited by Guarantees (CLG) entitled the Gloucestershire Association of Local Councils (GALC), and to approve nominations for Directors of GALC.
Update on CLG and Transition
Following the decision of Members earlier this year to establish a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) model for the Association, the Executive Committee (EC) met in October and agreed that the transfer of GAPTC’s operations - to a new limited company, will be deferred until 1 April 2026.
Call for Nominations: GALC Board of Directors
Member Councils are invited to submit nominations for appointment to the GALC Board.
Eligibility
Nominees must be:
Serving Councillors or Officers of a current GAPTC Member Council; and
Endorsed by their Council or by the Board of GALC
