Larger Councils' Forum FREE (remote)
Understanding and Supporting our Sector's Strategic Leaders
Larger Councils' Forum
GAPTC is proud to launch the Larger Councils’ Forum—a supportive, quarterly meeting dedicated to councils with electorates of over 7,000. This forum has been created in direct response to the unique challenges and strategic opportunities facing our larger member councils.
Our first meeting will be held remotely and features a panel of guest speakers from the National Association of Local Councils (NALC), including:
Justin Griggs, Head of Policy and Communications
Jessica Langford-Frost, Policy Officer
Cllr Iain Hamilton, Chair of NALC’s Larger Councils Committee
Together, they will explore the vital role larger councils play in our sector, and the importance of county association membership and national affiliation in amplifying your voice, accessing strategic insight, and helping shape policy.
We'll also share the strategic engagement work GAPTC undertakes across Gloucestershire and highlight how we support large councils.
This session will also provide space for you to:
Share current challenges and opportunities your council faces
Explore collaborative initiatives
Ask questions and engage directly with us and our panel
Open to clerks and councillors from our larger member councils.
